In addition to Group disability Insurance, IPS members are eligible to enroll in a customized, private plan to supplement their income in the event of disability. The member may enroll upon employment and choose all of the details such as waiting period, benefit payout amount and duration of benefit. The premium is based on the characteristics of the plan and is usually paid by the member’s profit center with pre-tax dollars.
